LG 47LF7700 Review

A review of the LG 47LF7700 television is quite easy once one takes a few moments to get a look at this handsome liquid crystal display (LCD) TV. As a manufacturer of high-quality consumer electronics, LG has lately come on strong in the marketplace for televisions of this kind, many of which are eagerly sought after for their abilities. This particular 47 inch model is no exception.

This particular LG TV comes to us ready for high-definition and able to deliver stunning picture resolution in 1920x1080p. What this means is that the color and clarity, along with the richness, of the display will be particularly fine. 1080p is considered the industry standard for televisions of such quality as this one, and is five times better than what a standard definition TV can produce.

In truth, 1080p is really what industry experts refer to as "true high definition." Prior to the advent of 1080p, televisions of this sort (flat-panel, LCD and plasma) display their images in 720p or lower, which was fine but which wasn't really true high-definition TV. This LG is a favorite of video game enthusiasts and fans of Blu-Ray DVD format movies and players.

Additionally, LG has sweetened the pot with this television by including its Tru Motion package which will display images at 100 per second (100 Hz). As a point of reference, standard definition television is only capable of -- at most -- displaying 50 frames per second. The LG, with its capability, can almost eliminate entirely any blurring that may result, especially in fast moving scenes.

Helpfully, the manufacturer has also provided three HDMI ports to enable a number of components to be hooked up to the LG 47LF7700. So, if one has a Blu-Ray DVD player (or any other DVD player with HDMI capability) he or she can run it through the TV quite easily along with a home theater system and maybe a stereo system or something else. It can be almost like sitting in a movie theater, in fact.

In the European market -- and especially in the United Kingdom -- LG includes the Freesat HD system for this particular model. It can access more than 140 BBC and ITV digital radio and television channels, and all for free. To help with picture display, LG has also included the Intelligent Sensor system which automatically makes adjustments to the display in keeping with the viewing environment.

As an illustrative example, if the LG 47LF7700 TV is placed in a room with changing light conditions (i. E. Sometimes high light and sometimes low light) it will sense such changes and make automatic adjustments to the display so that the best display possible is put up at all times. And for those who want to view computer JPEG and MPEG files, the TV also provides USB 2. 0 port interface capability.

To conclude our review, LG as a manufacturer of high-quality consumer electronics has really come into its own these last several years. The LG 47LF7700 47 inch liquid crystal display television is sure to do its part in propelling LG to ever greater heights in the consumer electronics marketplace.
